A new relationship focused on clarity
Oodle Car Finance, one of the UK’s fastest-growing motor finance companies, has announced a three-year contract with Plain Numbers.
Oodle exists to inspire car buying confidence at every step, helping customers make informed decisions by putting clarity and control at the heart of their customer journey.
As part of the arrangement, Oodle colleagues will receive training in the Plain Numbers Method over the contract term. Once trained, each person becomes a fully accredited Plain Numbers Practitioner, with unlimited access to practitioner support from Plain Numbers’ partnership managers to put their skills to use right away. The relationship also includes exclusive events access and supported resource development, helping to embed the Plain Numbers Method across the organisation.
Why customer understanding matters now
We are now at a pivotal moment for the sector, with Consumer Duty and evolving FCA expectations placing customer understanding firmly at the centre of financial services compliance. For lenders, ensuring customers genuinely understand the numbers behind their finance agreement, as well as the words around them, is increasingly a mark of good practice as well as good service.
Stephen Wadey, Director of Commercial Strategy, Marketing and Partnerships at Oodle, said: “Improving customer understanding is a major focus for us at Oodle. We’re committed to making every step of the car finance journey clearer and more confidence-inspiring, and working with Plain Numbers gives our teams the tools to do exactly that.”
Mike Ellicock, Chief Executive and Founder of Plain Numbers, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Oodle. Their commitment to improving customer journeys, backed by real investment in training their people, is exactly the kind of action the industry needs right now.”
