Plain Numbers announces new partnership with the Money and Pensions Service.

We are delighted to announce a new partnership with the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS), an organisation that provides high-quality money and pensions guidance to help people improve their financial wellbeing. MaPS do this through the free and impartial service, MoneyHelper.

With half of UK working age adults having the numeracy skills of a primary school child, clear communication around financial matters is crucial.

The collaboration begins with training MaPS team members to use the Plain Numbers Method – an evidence-based approach proven to double the number of people who understand a communication.

Beyond training, our partnership provides ongoing, unlimited support as the organisation applies these principles to their communications, making sure the numbers and language they use are as simple and understandable as possible.

Zoe Burns-Shore, Customer Delivery Executive Director at the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) says:

“We’re delighted to be working with Plain Numbers to make our money guidance even more accessible to everyone.

“At MaPS we know that financial decisions can feel overwhelming, especially when they’re presented in complex ways. This partnership recognises that clear and simple communication isn’t just helpful – it's essential.

'By working with Plain Numbers, we can present financial information on our MoneyHelper website in a way that ensures that everyone, regardless of their numeracy level, can access the financial guidance they need to make informed decisions when managing both everyday money and planning for the future.”

We're excited to support MaPS in their vital mission of helping everyone to make the most of their money and pensions and look forward to helping them communicate even more effectively with the communities they serve.
