Policy Expert, the UK’s leading personal lines insurtech, has become a Plain Numbers Partner, underscoring their commitment to enhancing customer understanding of financial terms and numbers. Over the next three year, this partnership will improve the communication of numbers within insurance documents, ultimately leading to even more favourable outcomes for Policy Expert’s customers.
Acknowledging the complexities often associated with understanding insurance documents and making informed decisions, Policy Expert has proactively partnered with Plain Numbers to address these challenges head-on.

As part of this partnership, key members of the Policy Expert team will begin specialised Plain Numbers training to learn the Plain Numbers Approach. This course is designed to illuminate the common struggles people face when dealing with numbers and financial concepts. Participants will gain practical tools and strategies grounded in evidence-based practices. Notably, in randomised control trials, the Plain Numbers Approach, on average, doubled the number of people who could understand a communication.

With nearly half of the adult population struggling to understand numeracy beyond primary school levels, Policy Expert recognises the pressing need to extend this clarity to numbers as well. This new Partnership will enable them to go even further on this mission.
