Plain Numbers announces new partnership with Policy in Practice
We are thrilled to announce a new partnership with Policy in Practice, a social policy software and analytics company.
Policy in Practice identified that millions of people are missing out on £23 billion of support each year. Their products, embedded across local government, utilities and finance sectors, are designed to close the unclaimed benefits gap, helping people to claim support and boost their incomes.
Over the next three years, Plain Numbers and Policy in Practice will join forces to make their messaging clearer so that more people can learn from their research and easily access the support their tools provide.
Our collaboration begins with training Policy in Practice team members to use the Plain Numbers Method – an evidence-based approach proven to double the number of people who understand a communication.
The team will receive ongoing, unlimited support, helping Policy in Practice embed these principles in their work, ensuring the numbers and language they use are as simple and effective as possible.
Policy in Practice’s LIFT platform is used by 1 in 3 local authorities across the UK to tackle poverty, while their Better Off Calculator helps around 10,000 people every day via GOV.UK and over 250 organisations find and access unclaimed support that they are eligible for.
By adopting the Plain Numbers Method, Policy in Practice will enhance their ability to communicate insights, simplify data, and empower more people to take control of their circumstances.
We’re excited to be working together to drive meaningful change and greater impact.
