New Plain Numbers Champions Training Launched

This January we launched a brand-new programme of workshops to help people become Plain Numbers Champions.

Plain Numbers Champions are people who are able to spread the word of Plain Numbers as good practice and encourage others to ensure that they communicate numbers in a way that is clear, fair and never misleading.

Delivered over two online workshops lasting one hour each, the new training programme gives participants a strong understanding of poor numeracy as a consumer vulnerability, knowledge of the Plain Numbers Approach and an opportunity to plan their action as a Plain Numbers Champion.

Raising awareness of poor numeracy as an important customer vulnerability and the way that consumers can be supported to make informed choices is a key part of the Plain Numbers Mission. The new Champions programme will do exactly that.

Take a look at what some of the participants had to say about the workshops:

“Some of the most interesting training I've ever done”

“Great to see the specific examples of what plain numbers have done to improve documents and the significant difference that this has on consumer understanding”

“I realised how much of an impact poor numeracy can have. Once you notice it, you see it around you all the time”

We’re thrilled to welcome our first group of Champions to the Plain Numbers Community and are excited to host the next group in February.

Plain Numbers Champions Workshops are part of our offer to Advisory Partners.
