OSB Group partners with Plain Numbers

OSB Group, the FTSE 250 specialist mortgage lender and retail savings group, has entered into a three-year partnership with Plain Numbers to embed clearer numerical communication across the business.

Training has already begun. Two team members are already accredited as Plain Numbers Practitioners, and three more will complete the course before the end of year one.

About OSB Group

OSB Group is a leading specialist mortgage lender, primarily focused on carefully selected sub-segments of the mortgage market including Buy to Let, Residential, commercial and semi-commercial, development finance, bridging and asset finance.

Why they partnered with us

Sam Wooller, Head of Customer Journey Communications, joined OSB Group to build a central customer communications function with a remit to embed numerical communication best practice across the Group’s portfolio of specialist lending and residential savings brands.

"I’ve seen first-hand what a difference clearer number communication makes to customers. We're at an early stage of the training, but the practitioners who have completed the course are already thinking differently about how they can communicate numbers more effectively to customers."

 - Sam Wooller, OSB Group

"What makes this partnership significant is where it sits inside OSB Group. The team are building the capability from the centre out. That's exactly how lasting change happens, and it's the kind of commitment that will make a real difference to OSB Group's customers."

Mike Ellicock, Plain Numbers

What the training delivers

Plain Numbers training gives practitioners a practical framework for communicating numbers effectively. The result being, a customer on the receiving end of a communication can read a number and understand what it means for them, without having to work for it.

Across financial services, clearer number communication improves customer comprehension, reduces complaints, and builds trust.
